Eye Tracker Study

How do people view websites? What is the first thing they look at? How long do they stare at certain things? If you have ads on the site, where is the best place to put them for maximum impact?

The Poynter Institute recently conducted “The Eye Tracker Study” to help newspapers with their online news sites. The study is fascinating — even if you aren’t a newspaper. Their findings are helpful for anyone with a website. All the results of the study are posted online. You can even watch a video of an “eye tracker” study.
