Online Fundraising for Candidates
The George Washington University’s Institute for Politics, Democracy and the Internet is offering a free handbook for political candidates and nonprofit organizations on how to recruit donors and raise money online.
Carol C. Darr, director of the Institute, said that this year the presidential candidates have raised over $100 million on the Internet, most of it in small donations of $200 or less.
You can download the 84 page PDF for free. While it is primarily geared to political candidates, it has useful info for all organizations. It not only contains info about viral marketing and taking an integrated online/off line approach to your fundraising efforts, it also has a lot of good info about online advertising.
The Institute also has a number of other very useful publications. Check them out and download those of interest here.
